Organizing a camping trip to Ohio State Parks is easy, thanks to the comprehensive government websites available. You just need to visit the Ohio State Parks official website and select your preferred campsite from a list.

Once you have made your decision, you can phone ahead and reserve your spot. The website includes an area to make reservations, check the rates involved, availability, as well as general information about camping at any of the Ohio State Parks. Generally, rates vary between $15 and $45.

Here are a few more tips for camping at Ohio State Parks:

  • Camping reservations are encouraged, but not essential. Typically, there are a few spaces reserved, and the rest are given on a first come first serve basis. It’s best to reserve during peak seasons though!
  • All campsites come with washrooms, electricity, restrooms and parking spaces. There are also ample picnic areas as well as a fire ring, should you wish to barbeque.
  • Many of our campsites even have laundry facilities!
  • All campsites can accommodate groups or families of up to six people.
  • There are specially designed campsites for larger groups, some accommodating as many as 400 guests!
  • Pets are welcome, although there are some restrictions. Be sure to check with the Ohio State Parks board before bringing pets along.

All Ohio State Parks Camping grounds cater to families and groups, offering plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. From the stunning hiking trails to fishing and hunting opportunities, there really is something to appeal to everyone.
